Discover the heroic viticulture of Cilento with Tredaniele Winery — a family estate in Trentinara producing exceptional Campania IGP and Paestum IGP wines from native grape varieties grown on dramatic hillside terraces.
Visit Tredaniele Winery
Trentinara · Province of Salerno
The Daniele brothers cultivate native Cilento vines on steep terraced slopes, where Greek colonisers first planted grapes over two thousand years ago. The result is wine of extraordinary character — shaped by altitude, sea breeze, and ancient soil.

Tredaniele Winery sits in Trentinara, perched in the hills of the Cilento at 450 metres above sea level, with sweeping views stretching from the valley of Paestum all the way to Capri. The three Daniele brothers — heirs to a historic family of winemakers — cultivate native grape varieties using centuries-old techniques passed down through generations. On this guided tour you will walk the terraced vineyards protected by hand-built dry stone walls, learn about the concept of "heroic viticulture" practised on these steep slopes, and discover how the unique microclimate — shaped by sea breezes, mountain air, and spring waters — gives Cilento wines their distinctive character.

Tredaniele produces a celebrated range of wines from local grape varieties grown in the hilly terrain of Cilento. Their portfolio includes the elegant Fiano Campania IGP — a white wine of great finesse — the structured Rosso Campania IGP, the prestigious Rosso Paestum IGP aged at altitude, and the refined Spumante Rosé produced using the Classic Method. In the cellar tasting session you will be guided through each wine by a member of the family, exploring the aromas, flavours, and stories behind every bottle. Paired with local Cilento produce — buffalo mozzarella, cured meats, and artisan breads — this is a true sensory journey into the heart of Campania's gastronomic culture.

Villa Tredaniele offers guests the rare opportunity to live inside a working Cilento winery. Wake up surrounded by vineyards, enjoy breakfast with estate-produced wines and local produce, and spend your days exploring the hills, coastline, and ancient villages of the Cilento National Park. The villa combines authentic Southern Italian character with thoughtful modern comforts, making it the perfect base for discovering the region. Guests can arrange private tastings, cooking experiences with local chefs, and guided excursions to nearby UNESCO heritage sites including Paestum and Velia — all within easy reach of the estate.

The Cilento harvest season — typically September to October — is one of the most magical times to visit Tredaniele. The entire family and local community come together to hand-pick grapes from the steep terraced vineyards, a tradition unchanged for centuries. Guests joining the harvest experience will work alongside the Daniele family, learning the art of selecting and picking ripe clusters by hand. After the harvest, you will follow the grapes into the cellar to witness the first stages of winemaking — pressing, fermentation, and the beginning of the ageing process. The day ends with a celebratory harvest dinner featuring traditional Cilento dishes and, of course, Tredaniele wines.

An elegant white from native Fiano grapes, grown on hillside terraces with views to the sea. Fresh, mineral, and distinctly Cilento.

The crown jewel of Tredaniele. A powerful yet refined red aged at 450m altitude, combining the strength of the land with Mediterranean warmth.

A sophisticated sparkling wine produced using the traditional Classic Method — delicate, celebratory, and unmistakably Campanian.
When you book a Pinelli Discovery Visit, we can arrange a private Tredaniele wine tour as part of your Cilento experience — combining property viewings with the very best of local culture and gastronomy.
Book a Discovery VisitDiscover Santomiele — a family artisan producer in Prignano Cilento whose story begins with a flower and a thousand-year-old fig. Their Officina del Gusto offers immersive tasting experiences, a remarkable workshop, and a product range that captures the very soul of Campania.
Visit Santomiele
Prignano Cilento · Province of Salerno
Inside an ancient oil mill transformed into a contemporary workshop, the Santomiele family has been crafting extraordinary products from the Cilento fig since the early 1900s — combining centuries of tradition with a bold, modern vision.

Téchne is the perfect starting point for anyone curious about Santomiele and the ancient art of Cilento fig-making. This tailor-made experience takes you through the story of the company — a family tradition rooted in the early 1900s — and introduces you to its most representative products and the artistic beauties of the workshop. Set inside the extraordinary Santomiele Officina del Gusto in Prignano Cilento, the tour combines history, craftsmanship, and landscape. You will learn how a thousand-year-old fruit became the foundation of an artisan enterprise that today produces sun-dried figs, artisan chocolates, fig molasses, jams, and honey — all made with the same philosophy: a simple work for an important purpose. The experience also takes in the breathtaking views of the Cilento National Park that can be admired directly from the workshop — a reminder that great artisan food is always shaped by the land it comes from.

The Artisan's Touch is a full immersion in Santomiele's production philosophy. The laboratory becomes the ideal setting to discover the most representative products through an unforgettable tasting experience that engages all five senses. During this journey you will have the opportunity to wander in the Agorà, where sun-powered machines responsible for the slow drying of the figs operate in line with the company's green economy model. The tasting takes place inside the laboratory, from which you can admire the beautiful landscape typical of the Cilento National Park. The tasting menu includes: Santomiele's welcome sun-dried figs (Cultivar Dottato) with toasted almonds and fresh citrus peels; fig jam with pears and vanilla bourbon paired with cheeses from Paestum; fig carpaccio with tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil; fresh figs wrapped with thin slices of local cured meats; croutons with Mediterranean vegetables; Paestum buffalo ricotta mousse with Giffoni hazelnuts and fig molasses; Scugnizzi fig pralines with cocoa and cinnamon; and Fichi fagottino — figs with almonds dipped in fragrant rum liqueur.

The Fig in Wonderland is an in-depth tour designed for culinary tradition lovers who desire to discover Santomiele's most unusual and hidden nuances. You will see and learn about the technical processes of fig-making through unique machines that have already been awarded for environmental sustainability. This is a food and wine journey exploring over twenty years of the company's history through a sweet and savoury tasting experience with local products, held within the exclusive and charming "Sartoria dei Sapori" — Santomiele's private dining space. The experience includes: a welcome fig and glass of sparkling wine; buffalo mozzarella with biscuit bread, broccoli spiert "Casa Iuorio" and fig molasses; Gragnano spaghetti 'Duca D'Amalfi' with Menaica anchovies, buffalo butter and fig leaves; and a Dolce Santomiele selection with orange-flavoured buffalo ricotta, Giffoni hazelnuts and fig molasses. Wines from national and international producers are paired throughout, chosen to enhance the Mediterranean diet tradition.

The Santomiele Officina del Gusto — "Workshop of Taste" — in Prignano Cilento is one of the most extraordinary artisan spaces in Southern Italy. An ancient oil mill, a grand piano from the 1800s, photographs by Norman Parkinson hanging on the walls, pearl-coloured floors, steel and glass with a reference to Parmenides — ancient memories and testimonies combine with the modernity of refined and evocative architecture. The workshop produces the full Santomiele range: slow sun-dried Dottato figs (a tradition handed down for generations), artisan chocolates including the celebrated Mediterranean Chocolate and L'Uovo Figo, fig molasses, jams and honey, brittle, and biscuits — all made without the concept of "employee", trusting instead in the creativity of each person to make every single product an excellence. Visitors can browse and purchase the full range directly from the workshop, and the team is always on hand to explain the story behind each product and the philosophy that drives everything Santomiele makes.

Book a Discovery VisitDiscover Tenuta Vannulo — a certified organic buffalo farm in Capaccio Paestum, founded in 1907, where hand-made mozzarella, artisan leather, and a living museum of farming culture come together in one extraordinary estate.
Visit Tenuta Vannulo
Capaccio Paestum · Province of Salerno
In 1907, this was a difficult zone to live in and cultivate. Vannulo has been transformed from a land that was 'worth nothing' to a flourishing area rich in know-how — producing some of Campania's most celebrated buffalo dairy products and artisan goods.

At Tenuta Vannulo, mozzarella is made entirely by hand every day from the milk of their own buffalo herd — a process unchanged since the farm was founded in 1907. Working the curd with water at 100°C, the cheesemakers stretch and shape each piece by hand, a technique that determines the mozzarella's distinctive firm texture and unparalleled flavour. The dairy is open to visitors who can watch the production process from close quarters and purchase the mozzarella fresh from the dairy. Given the limited daily production, advance ordering is strongly recommended. The mozzarella is available in classic rounds, treccia braids, and various sizes — all made that morning and best eaten the same day. Tenuta Vannulo's mozzarella has earned a reputation as among the finest in Campania, a region already celebrated worldwide for this product. The secret lies in the quality of the buffalo milk, the entirely organic farming methods, and the refusal to compromise on the hand-made process.

The Tenuta Vannulo tasting room offers visitors the opportunity to sit down and savour the full range of the estate's buffalo dairy products in a relaxed, farm setting. Open every day from 12:00 to 16:00, the tasting room is the ideal place to experience the depth and variety of what can be produced from organic buffalo milk. Beyond the celebrated mozzarella, the tasting room showcases Vannulo's full product range: rich buffalo cream, yoghurt and puddings, artisan ice cream, and buffalo milk chocolate — all produced on the estate using entirely organic methods. The yoghurt, in particular, has become a destination in its own right, with the Yoghurt Shop open from 7:00 to 19:30 every day. The tasting experience connects visitors directly to the land — the buffalo graze on the estate's own organic pastures, and everything served in the tasting room is produced within metres of where you are sitting.

The Museum of Farming Culture at Tenuta Vannulo is a place dedicated to culture and memory, showcasing objects and customs from the agricultural world that has always been a central reference point for the estate. The collection brings together tools, artefacts, and everyday objects from the early 1900s — a period when this part of Campania was being transformed from difficult, uncultivated land into the flourishing farm it is today. Among the highlights of the collection are a buffalo bell from the early 1900s, a farming screw made of wood and iron, and a copper cabinet — each piece a tangible connection to the generations of farming families who shaped this landscape. The museum is housed within the estate itself, making it an integral part of any visit to Tenuta Vannulo rather than a separate attraction. The museum is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 18:00, and Sunday from 8:00 to 14:00, alongside the Leather Shop which occupies the same building.

Inside the Tenuta Vannulo farm, skilled workers process buffalo hide entirely by hand in a dedicated workshop, creating a wide range of handcrafted leather products — from classic to designer lines. The leather shop is a natural extension of the estate's philosophy: nothing from the buffalo is wasted, and every product is made with the same care and attention that defines everything Vannulo produces. The workshop is open to visitors, who can watch the artisans at work and browse the full range of leather goods available for purchase. Products range from classic bags, belts, and wallets to more distinctive designer pieces — all made from the hides of Vannulo's own buffalo herd and processed on the estate. The combination of the Leather Shop and the Museum of Farming Culture in the same building makes for a compelling half-day visit that connects the ancient traditions of Campanian farming with the living craftsmanship still practised at Vannulo today.

Hand-made daily from organic buffalo milk. Available as classic rounds and treccia braids — limited production, advance ordering recommended.

Buffalo milk yoghurt, puddings, and artisan ice cream — all made on the estate. The Yoghurt Shop is open every day from 7:00 to 19:30.
